A new patch is now available for the Restitched: Wardrobe Demo on Steam! This update addresses various asset and technical issues reported by the community, as well as feature changes.

Read on for the full patch notes!...

"Added the ability to update your existing Workshop outfits, instead of only creating new ones."

Please note: Some cosmetics have been adjusted to fix their issues. This means existing saves and published outfits could now look incorrect if they use those items.

Changelog:

  • Added the ability to update your existing Workshop outfits, instead of only creating new ones.

  • Added cycling camera control prompts while Stamping.

    • We determined that some players didn't find the pan and rotate camera controls on their own, so we've added instructions to help.

  • Updated icons in the Workshop's Filters panel.

  • Removed broken 'sort order' option from Filters panel.

  • Fix in-game Workshop menu statistics on published outfit pages.

    • The number of upvotes now appears

    • The comments counter is now correct

  • Removed disabled 'Needle 'n Thread' chapter icon from Craftbook.

    • While other disabled features are in development, this one is currently not. We've removed it to avoid misleading new players (in case it doesn't make the final cut).

  • Added Stamp scaling limits

    • Prevents players from resizing past a minimum and maximum limit

  • 'Ponytail - Bow' cosmetic now hides all head items to prevent extreme clipping.

  • 'Pilot Cap' cosmetic now hides all Hair items when worn.

  • Increase the anti-aliasing effect inside the wardrobe's mirror.

  • Added Ambient Occlusion (AO) effect to saved outfit icons.

  • Saved outfit icons will now show semi-transparent Stamps correctly.

    • This includes Workshop outfit thumbnails (only applies to new/updated outfits)

    • Shadows and lighting will now render accurately over Stamps in saved outfit icons.

  • Tutorial thumbnail images will no longer scale to a lower resolution based on your graphics settings.

  • Added thumbnail images to Global Illumination (GI) and Bloom settings in the Game Settings menu when clicked.

  • Removed 'X' to close icon in the corner of the 'Save Outfit' popup window.

  • Renamed Workshop filters option to 'Sort Order: Newest First / Oldest First' rather than 'Ascending / Descending'.

  • Renamed some community filters, including 'Total Playtime' -> 'Downloads/Plays'

  • Improved algorithm and code for fetching and displaying in-game Workshop content.

    • This fixes an issue where the 'Newest' tab was not updating accurately

    • 'Popular' will now show a weekly result of items with the most downloads and favorites, better matching Steam's own 'Trending' algorithm.

  • Updated the icon for Stamping's 'Mirror Mode' shortcut.

  • Fixed Stuffy's hand from staying in a prop-holding pose while T-posing.

    • This fixes an issue where some hand items weren't accurately Stampable, including the 'Plushie' and 'Wooden Sword' cosmetics.

  • Addressed an input-related softlocking issue, which would cause the game to become unresponsive when tabbing in and out of it often.

  • Made 'X' to close button slightly larger in the Workshop menu.

  • Added an extra tutorial pop-up during the wardrobe's first startup.

    • This mentions the Design Tool, helping new players find it easier

  • Made 'Regal Top Hat' wearable with Hair.

    • Note: Hat + Hair support is still a work-in-progress. Some hairstyles aren't supported.

  • Fixed 'Tired Eyes' cosmetic not being properly Stampable due to a mirroring effect.

  • Fixed 'Cartoon Eyes' to not mirror Stamps even when Mirror Mode was off.

  • Increased the wardrobe camera's zoom sensitivity/speed.

  • Increased maximum Stamp count from 80 to 150 per Cosmetic.

    • We've determined that the performance impact of a larger Stamp count is negligible

  • Updated jiggle cosmetics to behave the same regardless of frame rate.

  • Reverted 'click outside of popup windows to close them' from patch v1.2

    • This was temporarily removed until a proper implementation can be added. We decided this wasn't working as intended, or in enough cases to be useful.

  • Saved Outfits now appear from newest to oldest, rather than new saves showing at the bottom of the list.

    • This now matches the behavior of the 'Workshop Outfits' category

  • The in-game Workshop menu now loads only when opened, rather than being loaded in the background at game startup.

  • Changed the behavior of the Filters panel options in the Workshop menu.

    • It no longer remembers your last active filters upon the window reopening. This behavior wasn't accurate and introduced several edge case issues.

    • The selected tab at the top of the workshop is now deactivated when applying filters, to show that you're filtering globally instead of within that category.

  • Added extra sound effects when equipping and removing cosmetics.

  • + other minor adjustments and fixes!
