Ready to dive into the Restitched creative community?

This page will cover the most important information regarding content publishing, which items are eligible for The Workshop's "Featured" section, and more.

Publishing Content

Want to share your own level or outfit on the Steam Workshop? You can easily do so via in-game menus.

To publish an Outfit, simply open the More Info popup when hovering over its icon in the Craftbook. From there, select "Publish", fill in the details and set the Privacy setting, then press the "Publish" button.

When your outfit is successfully posted, you'll receive a confirmation popup.

Please be sure to avoid uploading inappropriate or illegal content, as these will be removed. Repeated offenses or mass-reported content can result in a ban from publishing Restitched creations.

Player Agreement (EULA)

By participating in the social sharing features of Restitched, you're agreeing to abide by both the Restitched EULA and Steam's player agreements.

If you break these agreements, you may lose the ability to publish content altogether. Ban durations can range from a week to months, or indefinitely.

Breaking the Steam platform's own user agreements may result in punishment from the Steam team directly.

Featured Content

As developers, we often see eye-catching content we'd like to spotlight for other players to easily find! You can browse our favorite creations in the 'Featured' category on the Steam Workshop, or via the in-game Workshop menus.

You can also spot a Featured item by looking for the special icon on its thumbnail.

Please note:

We cannot feature creations that directly/heavily reference copyrighted or inappropriate content. We may also avoid featuring content that uses unofficial thumbnail images or modified game content, such as imagery manually imported and not generated by the game itself.

Steam Workshop Features

While it's certainly possible to do the important things from in-game menus, there are some features that only work directly from Steam's website.

In these cases, you can easily access it while playing by clicking the 'View Online' button. This will open the Steam Overlay (if enabled by the player) for quick and easy access to features like comments, ratings, reporting, and more.

You can still easily browse, search/filter, favorite, delete, edit, view stats, and download Workshop content from the comfort of the game. Features beyond these are limited by Steam's API toward developers, and currently cannot be added.

Reporting Content

As community members, it's our responsibility to report any rule-breaking Workshop listings. By reporting harmful content, you can help keep the game's experience positive and healthy for all players!

If you see content that seems like spam or is inappropriate, illegal, deceptive, unofficially modified, or otherwise harmful, then please report it via its Steam Workshop page.
